About Harumi Japanese Mart
Located at 159 2nd Ave, New York, NY 10003, Harumi Japanese Mart operates as a chinese supermarket serving New York in New York. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Asian grocery stores and supermarkets stock ingredients, snacks and household goods that general American supermarkets often do not carry, organized by category rather than by country of origin in most stores. Produce and live or fresh seafood sections are usually at the back or side of the store, and weekend mornings bring the largest crowds and freshest restock. Many larger Asian supermarkets include a hot deli or food court counter selling prepared meals by the pound or as fixed plates, useful for a quick lunch while shopping. Labels are frequently bilingual or untranslated, so store staff can usually help locate a specific ingredient if you ask. Cash, cards and mobile pay are all commonly accepted at larger chains; smaller specialty shops may be cash-preferred.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 10 amβ10 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (646) 449-8133. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.
Customers rate it 4.5 out of 5 on Google across 39 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded chinese supermarkets in New York.
New York is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in New York peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The half-priced sushi after 8pm is decent-not sure anyone gets the sushi before then though.

I love the onigiri and sushi here. Everything is super fresh and (in my opinion) good value for the area. My favorite quick lunch is to grab a couple of the onigiri - they are generously filled with lots of fish and rice!

Cute Japanese market with fresh sushi boxes and onigiri daily on 2nd Avenue and 10th Street. I picked up a cooked salmon onigiri here , I think it was under $4 . It was also still warm ,I'm guessing from the rice. It had a nice amount of salmon but is definitely a bit messy to eat but tasted good . This onigiri had that special wrapper that keeps the seaweed crisp too so be careful when opening. They don't give you soy sauce but I had some at home . I would definitely come back for the sushi though. They had 16 pieces sushi rolls sliced in containers for like $12.59 which is a good price.

We were walking home after having lunch nearby and discovered this new Japanese store on the corner of 2nd and 10th street. It is nice and fresh and for a small store has lots of good Japanese items. Cashier is just inside on the right . Fish and meet area is in the back on the right. We will come back to this store.
